We report on IFS observations of the nuclear regions of 3C 120, using INTEGRAL at the 4.2m WHT telescope. We propose new methods to deblend the spectra of the nucleus and the host galaxy based in 2D decompositions, and to extract the spectra of the substructures in complex systems.

En esta charla quiero presentar el telescopio REM, un proyecto internacional liderado por el Osservatorio Astronomico de Brera (Milán, Italia). Dentro de este proyecto hemos desarrollado (REM) Rapid Eye Mount, un pequenyo telescopio (60cm) robótico, dotado de dos cámaras.

Advances in computer power and in simulation algorithms have made it possible to carry out simulations of the formation and evolution of galaxies throughout regions as large as those mapped by recent surveys of the local Universe.

Los redshifts fotométricos están convirtiéndose en una técnica cada vez más importante y extendida. La charla recorrerá brevemente las técnicas de redshifts fotométricos existentes, con especial énfasis en el enfoque bayesiano y su aplicación práctica.

Radio-loud AGNs can inhabit regions with a very rich ISM. The presence of this rich medium is likely related to the origin and evolution of the host galaxy and of the active nucleus. Recent observations show that a large fraction of radio galaxies contains a significant young stellar population.
